What you can request

  • Access — receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — fix inaccurate information in your account.
  • Deletion — delete your account and the personal information associated with it.
  • Portability — export your recipes and collections in a portable format.
  • Opt out — opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising).
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you previously gave for the processing of your personal information.

How to submit a request

Choose whichever method is easiest for you. All requests are handled within the timelines required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).

Identity verification

To protect your data, we'll verify your identity before acting on a request. We typically do this by sending a confirmation email to the address on your account. If you don't have an account, we may ask for additional information to confirm your identity.

Authorized agents

Under certain US state privacy laws, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require the agent to provide written proof of authorization signed by you, and we may ask you to verify your own identity directly.

Appeals

If we deny your request, you have the right to appeal our decision. Reply to our denial email or contact us at privacy@myrecipecloud.com and reference your original request. We will review the appeal and respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
